Budleigh is a place for all seasons: pretty gardens and an outdoor swimming pool in summer; central heating and woodburners for frosty days in winter.

Our 7 self-catering properties, converted from stone barns, make an excellent centre for exploring Devon's coast and country. Dartmoor, designated last wilderness in England, offers excellent walking and cycling opportunities; hills can be challenging, but are well worth the climb for the outstanding views. Contrasting north and south Devon coasts, tourist attractions and stately homes are all within reasonable striking distance for a day's outing.

Our two major cities, Exeter (cathedral, smart new shopping precinct, home of the Met Office), Plymouth (Sir Fancis Drake, Maritime Museum, naval history) and Devon's picture book villages are prime destinations.

On site we have a central laundry with washing machine, and tumble dryer; barbecues; a children's play area with swings/slide/tower, soccer goal. There are archery and target shooting ranges (please phone for information), and a table tennis room.

Moretonhampstead, our nearby small town, has two good cafes, a superb tea room, 3 first class pubs which offer a great contrast in cuisine and atmosphere, a pizza/pasta bistro, independent shops, a post office and small well-stocked supermarket. A cycle path links Budleigh to the town, making it possible to walk safely off road, just 20 minutes walk. Our local Information Centre holds a good stock of maps, books and gifts, many locally sourced. There is an impressive motor museum, two art galleries, three potteries, and a blacksmith.

Dogs accepted in the Studio, Flexi and Link, cost £30.00 per week per pet. Woodburners in the Studio and Flexi, with wood included in the cost. Electric cookers.
