Devon is perfect for walking holidays - there are enough walks to last a lifetime! From a gentle amble to a full day’s trek, there are a variety of picturesque routes to walk. With leisurely afternoon rides, fun trails, exciting off-road tracks and more challenging routes there is something for everyone. Some of the rides on Dartmoor are hard to beat and there are excellent, dedicated off-road cycle routes such as the Tarka Trail and Granite Way. Go to https://www.traveldevon.info/cycle/cycle-routes/cycle-trails/ for more ideas. Some of our farms provide storage for your own bicycles or you can contact the farm to organise local cycle hire in advance.
Some farms offer riding from the premises, or close by, and others have stabling if you are keen to bring your own horse. Devon’s quiet country lanes and maze of bridleways offer superb riding opportunities for all levels of ability.
With private lakes and rivers on some of our farms and the offer of fishing equipment and local advice, we can help provide the perfect accommodation for experienced anglers and anyone just starting out. Devon's two coastlines give superb opportunities for coastal and sea fishing too.
