Regardless of age and ability there is so much to do in Devon. Countryside Mobility runs a charitable scheme to enable visitors with impaired mobility to use all terrain mobility ‘trampers’ at over 18 locations across Devon. Many of the National Trust locations participate in the scheme and also many of the country parks. Also included is Rosemoor Gardens and more recently Lundy Island. Please do check out the detail at https://www.countrysidemobility.org/ and enjoy exploring! Also Heritage Lottery Funding is currently helping to improve accessibility at many of Devon’s wonderful heritage locations. See https://www.countrysidemobility.org/heritage for details.
Locations such as those run by the National Trust and large family visitor attractions have online Accessibility Guides/Information to enable potential visitors to check out beforehand that a location will be suitable for their ability/needs. There are also local shops/locations across Devon where you can hire mobility and living aids for your stay if bringing your own is too difficult. There are no barriers to enjoying all that Devon has to offer.
