The town still holds a Farmers Market once a month and, during July, puts on a splendid ‘Fair Week’ with a week of fun events. On the first Saturday of September the Kingsbridge show is held; another splendid agricultural show favoured by many.
There are many good bakeries and delicatessens in the town where delicious picnics can be purchased to take on the numerous surrounding beaches and coastal walks.
More and more small, independent shops are appearing and there are some very good ladies fashion shops, such as Boutique 144 and Heron shoes.
Pubs and eating places are in abundance, serving not just our delicious local fayre but Indian & Chinese restaurants too. Quayside Leisure Centre has a large swimming pool and the latest gym and fitness equipment and Merlin Cinemas are right up to date with the films they show.
Kingsbridge is quite central to many villages, beaches and some super walks.
