This week sees the traditional market town of Holsworthy celebrating St. Peter’s Fair.
The bunting is unwrapped and the Rowland’s fair rolls into town. Wednesday is Market day and the stall holders were out in force. The livestock market was also very busy too.
Today, Wednesday, 10 July 2013 the New Pretty Maid has been unveiled to the town. She then went on with the Mayor and the Portreeve to open Rowland’s funfair.
This evening, there is a BBQ run by the local Theatre group and then Live music on the stage in the square from 8p.m.
Holsworthy Museum is open Thursday and Friday.
A Photographic exhibition is being held in the Parish church and The Methodist Chapel has an ‘our Talents’ exhibition during the remainder of the week.
Thursday evening sees many people dancing around the town doing THE FURRY DANCE! Including The Portreeve, Members of the local Theatre group, local youth groups and anyone who fancies it. Join in if you dare!!!
Various music bands play on the stage in the square finishing with the finale on Saturday evening. RE-TAKE THAT at 9p.m.
