Devon Farms meet the public at Devon County Show, and joins forces with Cornish Farm holidays

For many years Devon Farms have taken a stand at Devon County Show, where we give out our Brochures, and talk to members of the public about our farm holiday accommodation.  It also acts as a shop window for us in recruiting new members, and we are able to ascertain whether potential members meet our joining criteria.  All our farms are quality rated with either VisitEngland or the AA, thus ensuring high standards in our accommodation.  A friendly manner is most important in a host or hostess, and our members enjoy chatting to show-goers.

For the first time, this year, we had a reciprocal arrangement with our Cornish neighbours, we gave out their Cornish Farm Holiday leaflets at Devon County Show, and they gave out our brochures and flyers at the Royal Cornwall Show.  This seems to have been a great success, as we both gave out plenty of each other’s material.  This all helps to generate a feeling of “entente cordiale” – something we can all do with!
