Moor Lane, Broadclyst, Exeter, Devon EX5 3JH
The Coach House is part of a working arable and sheep farm, some 15 minutes from the historic cathedral and university city of Exeter and surrounded by The National Trust Killerton Estate, with many permitted walks across this classic English countryside. The former Victorian stables have been completely renovated and provide comfortable and tastefully furnished, single storey, ground floor accommodation with easy access from a private entrance. It is ideal for the elderly, infirm and wheelchair users.

Open all year, The Coach House provides an excellent starting point from which to discover the West Country, from city to moor to coast, easily accessed from the M5 and suiting those who want active, participatory breaks or quiet rural retreats, whatever the age and whatever the weather. Garden lovers will be able to visit the gardens of Knightshayes Court and Killerton House throughout the year, with their fine collections of specimen trees and rare shrubs and woodland walks. The latter is within walking distance of The Coach House! Further afield the spectacular East Devon coastline, the wooded valleys of Exmoor and rugged granite terrain of Dartmoor to the north and west are within an hour’s drive. If it is not beach or moor weather then there are many visitor attractions nearby. Local festivals (the annual Sidmouth International Festival in August especially famous), carnivals and agricultural shows abound.

We supply duvets and pillows, linen, towels, teatowels, cot and high chair, hot water and central heating included in the price. • Broadband internet access included • Sociable dogs are welcome.

Outside, a private drive leads to a parking area and two sunny patios outside the kitchen and living room. Private grassed garden extends from the lower patio along a beautiful old brick kitchen garden wall, with plum, gage and cherry fans and a vine. Garden tables, chairs and barbeque provided.
